The ambiance is amazing and I couldn't love the decor more. The tables and chairs are a little wobbly. I saw how fun this place was on social media but when we went (on a weekday) it's was dead. We ordered some rolls and miso soup. The rolls were just okay but the miso was sooo bad. It took forever to make (which they apologized for and took off our tab which was greatly appreciated) but it was so watered down and there was no flavor. After waiting for so long I was really looking forward to some miso so the let down was so much more after all the anticipation. I'm not sure I'd come back for dinner but I'd try brunch.

Can you believe I didn't get any pics of the food!? That's how good it was! Made a reservation on open table for a 5:30 pm on a Saturday. It was pretty empty in there but this place is so aesthetically beautiful that I actually enjoyed it empty. I was able to admire the decor a bit more! Surprisingly I don't eat sushi but my bf does and he got the sashimi, California roll and a few other things. I got the chicken katsu and the chicken gyoza! Everything tasted absolutely amazing! I was extremely full but wanted to finish my bowl, that's how good it was. I give this place 4 stars because the service was so slow! It was pretty empty in there and it took about 40 minutes for me to get a mocktail that I ordered I honestly forgot I ordered it. That's how long it took. My chicken katsu also took 30 minutes to come out after all the other food was delivered and I forgot to mention they were also out of fried rice. We sat at a high table and I'm getting old so would be nice if the chairs had backs too. So all in all this is a great place to go if you want a good meal and you're craving Japanese! The service can be slow so maybe don't go here if you're starving! Will definitely be back!!

We popped in around 3:30 on a Sunday and there were only a few other tables eating with a hostess and a bartender/server working. With that being said, the service was good paced and the staff was friendly! We sat at a cute little couch by a window and it was a nice place to enjoy an early dinner. They were out of the appetizer we ordered, so we subbed in spicy garlic edamame which was pretty good! The rolls we had weee tasty. They didn't have a super extensive sushi menu, but I feel like there was enough variety. The basic rolls seemed a little pricy, but I think that's to be expected considering the vibe of the restaurant and the location. I would definitely come back at night to experience a different vibe & try more menu options!

Met up with some friends for here this past Sunday around 3. First time here! Cute spot with a cool vibe. It wasn't too busy at that time but more came in after. It's a pretty big place with a whole section on the other side for more seating if needed. I believe the place turns into a club at night on Fridays/Saturdays. My friends were at a sofa with drinks already. We eventually moved to a table since 2 others were joining. I was the only one who ordered food cuz they all ate at home and just wanted drinks. My order: Matcha Mint Julep $14 Kill Bill roll $20 Yellowtail Carpaccio $20 The matcha cocktail was a bit too sweet so I would try something else next time. Staff were nice and very attentive. They said I could switch my drink if I didn't like it but I told them it's fine. The roll and yellowtail carpaccio were good. I liked the fried onions and garlic soy sauce on the roll. The only thing missing was some wasabi!

The best happy hour! Attentive and speedy service. Nice casual atmosphere that's great to meet up with friends after work and have a drink and sushi! Can't beat the happy hour prices. Make sure to check out the bathroom stalls for their unique decorations! #sweepstakesentry

The service was great, I enjoyed the fun upbeat energy. Their drinks were fantastic, the food was okay. My friend and I ordered the Crispy rice appetizer, the coconut shrimp - the sauce seemed to not pair well with the battered shrimp. Espresso martini and other cocktails we ordered were on point. I'd come here for drinks during happy hour, good spot for large groups and easy to jump to the next spot by walking down Mill Ave.

visited AZ for the first time and was recommended to try Bang Bang on Mill Ave! to my surprise , it was really empty on a friday night and i made reservations bc i was afraid it would be packed. thankfully this wasn't the case ! we were seated immediately and the overall decor reminded me of a club. the tables are so fun and interesting - each table had a diff reference to the japanese culture. we sat at a pokémon themed one and next to us were japanese cars. the food was the best food ive had the entire trip. i've been craving sushi and i really liked the freshness of the fish. the bang bang roll was my favorite ! the poke nachos had a slight kick to it but the wonton chips were so crunch that i couldn't help but continue eating it. i liked that the sashimi salad allowed you to pick what type of sashimi. there was yellowtail, salmon and tuna to choose from. really enjoyed this spot a lot and would definitely come again!

We went over to Bang Bang last weekend and it was a great time. We brought a few friends and I am planning to have my birthday with a large group again in a few weeks. The atmosphere is exactly what you want if you are looking for a cool restraint with high ceilings and playing some house music through the night, it turns into a venue typically after 10 on weekends. I got the rainbow roll and it was very fresh and tasty, we all had sushi and enjoyed it and my server was super nice and friendly the entire night! Thanks again!
